I LOVE this old window picture frame I put together for my little sis!
Some of my favorite of the photography I have done is my little sister's engagement photos.

She wanted a three pane window to write her date on. I had planned to frame pictures in the window for her, I even got the pictures ordered right away, but I had been so busy working on custom orders it hadn't made it to the top of my priority list.  Until one weekend when she came to visit me.  We made bookends for her, and I decided we would throw this together too!

I actually took this picture this way, but I felt like it balanced better to flip it.  So I had it printed flipped.

I didn't want to mess around with trimming the pictures.  I actually just measured the window openings and asked my local photography shop Kimo's Kamera to print them to the exact dimension and crop the picture how they saw fit.  It worked out great!

I am a huge fan of DIY and craft projects, but one thing I hate is putting a lot of time into something that you may want to change down the road.  I was going to Mod Podge her pictures to the window.  But I figured one day she would have kids and she will want to change the pictures in it.  I didn't want it to be a big project for her to change the pictures.  So I opted for something that would look just as good from the front and be really easy to change. . . DUCT TAPE!

I just washed the window panes and then taped the pictures on!

I don't know why I waited so long to get this done for her, it honesty only took 10 minutes!

This is a great way of using that old window frame. I want to go and have a painting and hang it in a frame like this. I know that it is not the most creative, especially since you did it first, but I just want to do it. I do not mean harm by copying you, in fact, this is the most flattering thing that I can do. I hope that you are not mad with it, my man.

A little about alese

I live in Benjamin, UT with my husband and 10 year old son.  He wants to be a bull rider when he grows up, and we love helping him chase that dream just like I'm chasing mine.

In about 2010 after making a few custom handmade gifts for friends and family members, my husband told me, "You could make a business out of this."  I started out mostly blogging about the things that I made for others.  My business has since evolved to what it is today.  All of my items are handmade in Utah by me!  Building and creating is my passion. Thank you for being a part of it!
